Kagando Hospital is a privately held general hospital located in Kagando village, Rwenzori sub-region in Kasese district Uganda. It is part of Kagando Rural Development Center (KARUDEC), a health care and education project, managed by the Anglican Church of Uganda with a mission to proclaim the love of God by engaging in activities aimed at improving the physical and spiritual well-being of the poor and disadvantaged people in the region. Kagando hospital has a number of wards that include; Pediatric ward, Male medical ward, Female medical ward, Surgical ward, Maternity ward, leprosy unit, neonatal unit, Fistula ward and Medical rehabilitation department.

The Rehabilitation Department consists of services that include physiotherapy, orthopedics, orthotics and prosthetics fabrication and other assistive device fabrication. The staff of rehabilitation department is made up of well trained and experienced orthopedic officer, orthopedic technologist, orthopedic technology assistants headed by a physiotherapist.

The department is well equipped with an orthopedic workshop which was constructed using fund from rotary Jaipur limb project and equipped and supplied with materials for 500 limbs which was championed by rotary club of kasese, south western Uganda. The project commenced in year 2020.

     Since the workshop was opened, a total of 52 prosthetics and 3 repairs have been fabricated these include above knee, below knee and through knee prosthetics.  110 pieces of orthotics have also been molded specifically for congenital abnormalities and post- surgical treatment.
