Kagando Prosthetics Staff
Kagando Hospital is located at the foot hills of Mt. Ruwenzori in the Kasese District which straddles the Equator.
The District is bordered by the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. District headquarters in Kasese Town are located approximately 359 kilometers by road west of Kampala, Uganda’s Capital City. The District is home to Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Rwenzori Mountains National Park.
The Rehabilitation Department is situated in 2 buildings with both physiotherapy assessment and treatment room plus an orthopaedic workshop.
Its is composed of 4 staff who include orthopaedic officer, orthopaedic technologist ,orthopaedic technician headed by a physiotherapist.
Abaho Anthony
Physiotherapist
Above is Abaho Anthony, male 26 years, single, Christian from Mbarara district western Uganda a senior physiotherapist with a BSc in physiotherapy of Mbarara University of Science and Technology. Who has worked with Kagando hospital for 3 years, came as intern physiotherapist however was recruited by the institution.
He is involved in identifying, assessment and prescription of assistive devices for persons leaving with disability, involved in ensuring right fitting plus gait re- education after assistive device fitting particularly lower limb prosthetics
Kyalingoza Ronald
Orthopaedic Tech
Above is Kyalingoza Ronald 27yrs male single, a Christian from central Uganda, he is an Orthopaedic technologist by profession with a Diploma in Orthopaedic technology of Mulago Paramedical School who has worked with the institution for 5 years
He plays a key role in measuring, fabricating assistive devices which include lower limb prosthetics and orthotics plus training clients on how to use them.
Kitojo Richard
Technician
Above is Mr. Kitojo Richard 36 yrs. of age married to one wife with 4 children a Christian from Kasese district kisinga sub county south western Uganda. He is an assistant technician with a certificate in workshop mechanics who plays a big role in maintaining our workshop tools ,repairing and fabricating of assistive devices especially wheel chairs and other hospital equipment.
