Meet Our People
Roly Runciman
Roly has worked in the Radio and TV Broadcasting industries for many years, originally with his own company and then with the Rhema Broadcasting Group for the last 15 years up until his retirement. Prior to working as the Senior Broadcast Engineer and Projects Manager for RBG he lectured at AUT in Electronics, Telecommunications and Radio Technology.
Roly is also a qualified Satellite Engineer for Radio and TV Broadcasting and consults to United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) in and around the Pacific Islands.
Roly has extensive Radio Broadcasting experience in most of the Islands of the Pacific having visited most of them at one time or other.
Roly has a passion for Christian Radio Broadcasting throughout the wider Pacific. He sees this as a fantastic way to get the Word of God into remote areas that are very difficult to access by traditional means.
The use of Satellite Technology is an excellent means of distributing the Word of God into these remote areas and it is Roly's passion to see this come about.
There is a verse in the Bible that motivates Roly, "......So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17)
In The Gap Ministries sees that reaching into all the corners of the Pacific is one of the means by which the people of the Pacific can "hear" so that they too can come to faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Gail Runciman
Gail has worked for a number of companies as their Office Manager carrying out all the administrative work and keeping the accounts in order.Gail comes with a huge amount of clerical experience and manages our finances up to audit stage.
We have been married for 54 years and have two grown children who themselves are married with their own children. We have five delightful Grand kids who are a real joy to be with.
We attend a local Church where we take an active role in Church life.
Roly leads a Home group which meets fortnightly while Gail leads a very active Know Your Bible women's bible study group on a fortnightly basis.
We have both traveled extensively but Roly more so into third world countries. We both share a passion for the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and have a particular interest in using Radio to spread the Gospel throughout the Pacific Islands.
Owen Jennings
As Executive Director of Food and Agricultural New Zealand Ltd and Chairman of the Board of Healthy Foods (New Zealand ) Ltd, we highly value Owen's input and insight.
Owen is married to Doreen and they have also served on missions in India and Nepal to name a few places. Owen is widely traveled and his experience is invaluable to In The Gap Ministries.
